Duties: EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS: Temporary employment, unless otherwise stipulated, is subject to re-approval each 90 days for a period not to exceed 12 months of continuous employment. Upon completion of 12 months employment, a service break of 30 consecutive calendar days must be met to be eligible for further employment. DESCRIPTION: Temporary Part/Fulltime Position (Minimum 30 hours/wk preferred) in Systems Support Services under Enterprise Infrastructure Services. Duties include: Providing support for workstation and server infrastructure with an emphasis in client/server applications and operations including: design of workstation system images, application deployment, scripting, and general server maintenance.
Qualifications: Must be able to work in a team environment. Must have experience in installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining Windows XP and Windows Vista. Experience in windows server operating systems is preferred. Experience in scripting or programming is also preferred. Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50lbs.

Title: MEDIA UTILIZATION SPECIALIST- Automation - Odum Library

Salary: $18,461 annually RANGE:Up to 10% depending on qualifications
Duties: Assist staff in web site development and production using computerized multimedia/visual equipment and software; produce web-ready images, video, and audio; utilize application software and design tools to create and maintain web site templates style sheets, and page content; participate as a team member in coordination with staff oversight and guidance, draft mock-ups and create graphical design layouts with linkages, site navigation, folder and directory structure optimized for usability and facilitate web site maintenance; exercise quality assurance in managing link, copywriting, grammar, spell checks, and other duties as assigned. This position will require working nights and/or weekends as necessitated in scheduling web site maintenance activity during non-peak usage and to extend staff presence during open Library hours.
Qualifications: Required: High school or GED and 2 years experience with computer software and multimedia/visual equipment; knowledge of web design and experience with Photoshop, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; experience with digital cameras, camcorders and scanners; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Desired: Bachelor’s degree experience with XML, PHP, Flash, FTP, and ability to hand-code HTML.

Title: INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST - Distance Learning

Salary: $39,789.00 annually RANGE:Up to 10% depending on qualification
Duties: Work with faculty and staff to develop and maintain electronic and online instructional materials, design online courses, support instructional technology, and implement national standards in distance learning. Assist with: course management system functions and end user issues; professional development for Distance Learning faculty; the use of smart classroom technologies and videoconferencing systems. The individual will typically work normal duty hours, but may be required to work extended hours to meet deadlines imposed by special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree or an Associate’s degree with two years experience in the field is required or academic work above an associate equivalent would be accepted with two years experience in the field. A Master’s degree in Curriculum Design or Instructional Technology is preferred. Knowledge of electronic and multimedia authoring tools, HTML, and publish to the online context in a large client/server computer multi-user environment and the ability to design courses is required. Experience with course management systems such as Blackboard Vista, or Blackboard Learning System is required. Ability to manage projects and people, excellent written and verbal skills, and ability to work well with faculty and staff are a must.

Title: PROGRAMMER ANALYST ASSOCIATE - Enterprise Application Services Department

Salary: $44,200.00 annually RANGE:Up to 10% depending on qualifications
Duties: The position will be part of the Banner project team under the Enterprise Application Services group of Information Technology dedicated to support of the Georgia On My Line (GOML) graduate programs. The Banner team provides business process analysis and develops software to be used in conjunction with and modifications of the Banner student information system and helps other areas in the EAS department as needed. Projects will be developed using Oracle Developer tools, Oracle Business Intelligence tools, or other tools as needed. The individual will be assigned to projects by a project leader. The projects will include analyzing requests for information, developing reports, procedures, and documentation. Deadlines will be imposed for assignments and extended working hours may be required from time to time.
Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field of study is preferred with at least 1 year of actual programming experience required. The individual will be required to work in a team environment; will have the ability to write different processes using different programming tools such as SQL, PL/SQL, C, Java, Business Intelligence tools and write documentation for those processes. Knowledge of the Banner information system and how it is used is a plus.
